This was really inspiring. I love the every egg matters. I wish that there were more places that had a strong sense of community. Thanks for posting this.

It's remarkable how common sense makes news, because it's so uncommon. Would you rather pay taxes to provide welfare to the needy for food, or do a bit of occasional public gardening providing food for whoever?

I just don't understand why everyone is not doing this.
Well, I do understand, but wish things were different.
I was listening to a radio talk show today. The hosts are reasonably intelligent, fairly aware guys, but an agriculture topic came up today that involved declining genetic diversity and the problems associated with the increasing use of chemical additives to grow crops. The hosts were totally clueless about the issues and essentially said "don't worry about it." It was disapointing to hear two guys who are fairly bright and well informed, be so clueless on agricultural issues. If they know nothing, you can expect that most people will also know nothing.
More people had better start learning how to grow food.....

Thanks for bringing the recipes to our attention, Jo. I will be using the Oregano Oil one for sure.

WHEW! I lost this thread!
Your welcome Blue! I'm going to try a couple of the recipes myself, just not at the moment... I like the one for the Oregano Oil myself.
The whole website is very interesting. Found myself wondering what land prices are like around there. ;o)

I wonder if they mean Celery Root (Celeriac). The recipe says cut into 1 inch cubes.

I'm wondering the same thing. Is there a "contact" listing? We should just write and ask.
