I had the pleasure of a trip to Bavarian last fall.
I was delighted to learn that radishes are often served at beer gardens. Try as I might I haven't really enjoyed radishes all that much previously. I really like the radish/beer combo.
I tend to prefer mild radishes. That said, anyone have any beer/radish combos they have enjoyed?
Anyone know of specific radish types that go well with beer?

I read on a seed packet that black skinned radishes are good with beer, although I have never tried it.

Any radish ones like will do very well with beer Personally I too like the mild ones. Not all black radishes are mild, some are quite pungent.

You caught my attention with the first word of the subject. Although, I prefer stronger stuff with my beer; like a homemade horseradish mustard on a beef tongue (corned rye) sandwich, if you're squeamish corned beef; there is something to be said for the nice crunch that a couple of "French Breakfasts" provide. I, too, prefer milder radishes, ans RADIS DE 18 JOURS ( 18 days radish) is my favorite. I like radishes with beer, and some salt too!!
One thing that is fun to eat with a good drink is radishes pods, it does not need to be the rat tailed radish really, the others are much shorter but delicious vnevertheless, and they are great with a good dip...
