I'm a little "free-breeder", from France (so, my English is very poor, it's true!) I'm 22, I'm working in the development of landraces for sustainable agriculture I'm fascinated by crosses & breeding. I have some projects: I try to cross and breed radish, potatoes, sunroots, pea, bean and more! I love read about that, especially on this board. Now, I hope write some lines.. See you!

Saluton Kermyt, and welcome to the community! It's quite an international and diverse mix of people, so I'm sure you'll fit right in. It sounds like you might have plenty of interesting things to talk about soon, and i look forward to reading about them.

Welcome Kermyt! It is good to see more folks in Europe on HG. I always get worried when I read about the crazy variety white lists they have in the EU. It just seems like an idea the seed corps over here would love to glom onto.

Welcome kermyt. It will be good to read about your projects. Et ne t'inquiète pas. Ton anglais est beaucoup mieux que mon français.

In short, I try to cross a classical green bush snow pea variety (http://www.agrilisa.com/Boutique/tabid/64/ProdID/40502/POIS_NORMAND.aspx) with a purple-pod vining fresh and split pea variety (http://www.graines-baumaux.fr/pois-capucine-ramant-blauwschokker.html?___store=grainesbaumauxde&___from_store=grainesbaumauxfr).
Humm... It's ok? The goal is... obtain vining variety with edible purple pod like snow pea but great split and fresh peas... 3 in 1, for every taste!
I think I'll make a thread on that...

Bonjour Kermyt. Nous sommes anglais mais nous habitons Maine et Loire pendant 10 ans. Bienvenue sur 'Homegrown Goodness'. Il y aura tres interessant a lire sur le sujet de vos experiments avec l'elevage des legumes. Forgive the fact my French is still fairly poor even after ten years!
