I can't find where I mentioned my beans and someone said to post a pic. These are a row of Rattlesnake which I grow every year, from saved seed. Should I just spray copper or sulfur or Actinovate?

I'd try wd40.....works great on rust!
Seriously, I think I'd use copper.....I don't know what actinovate is.
The rust doesn't look too bad to me (but I live in the blessed jungle! or at least that's what it feels like)

Minnie, I'm growing Cherokee Trail of Tears this year in two locations; in garden and in a deck box. The ones in the garden are fine, the ones in the container have rust?? Guess I should have scrubbed that box until it gleamed...
Good luck getting rid of it.

Im too late to stop the spraying, but that isn't rust....that looks like ozone damage to me. If it was rust, you would see pustules....don't see any in your pic.

I'm seeing that too. On some of my beans and on some of the watermelons. I assumed it was sun damage of some sort, since it didn't seem to spread and was mostly on the first few leaves - after that the plants seem to adjust themselves.

Interesting. They are looking better now. Most of the leaves in my garden have leafminers so bad. I am getting used to seeing yucky.

High temperatures exacerbate the problem...the ozone causes damage in the chloroplasts resulting in bronzing. I think its more common around highways and cities, for obvious reasons...but with the weather so hot right now, probably can see it anywhere. Jim

Ok well the pole beans are better but some of the latest seeded bush beans in another bed look nasty. Glad to know it is basically the sun. I am always afraid of fusarium.
