It looks like an in depth scan is going to have to wait a while. I dissected a few pods (the storm we had knocked over the trellis they were growing on and must have damaged quite a few vines, so a lot are wilting. ) and it looks like the seed is still a deal aways from maturity (it's full size now, but still all soft and white)
