Beware that starting seeds in a greenhouse or tunnel can also be fraught with problems. All it takes is for the sun to come out for a couple of hours and temperatures can soar to 50C. That's enough to 'cook' a whole lot of seed or at least push them into dormancy. It's happened to me far too often with late spring sowings and now I'm finding cooler places out of the sunshine to put them.

I begin my seed in a room between 13 and 19°C and the result is good.
