I think every generation looks at the one coming up, and pretty much says the same thing. Does anyone remember the grandfather who walked ten miles up hill both ways in ten feet of snow to get to school everyday?? We are all from different generations here, I would think, from the sounds of it, yet we are all lamenting the same thing? I look at my young kids, and hope that I'm instilling some kind of values into them, but at the same time, I want them to have a great life, things that I didn't have, opportunities that my parents couldn't give me, or just didn't think were important. Life for them as children is very different from what I experienced, same as the disconnect from what my parents had compared to mine. I don't think it necessarily has anything to do with the 'work ethic'. There have always been slackers, bums, lazy shits, and cheats. Some things don't change. I don't think it's anymore prevalent now than it was 40 years ago. Maybe you hear about it more.

Oh, forgot to say, before the nintendos, and WII's, and play stations, it was Rock music. Devil's music!!!There's always something. Before rock, it was jazz and blues.
