We visit the Pacific NW almost every fall. We have bought hazelnuts from many sources. The Kronkes are one of the smaller growers. They sell at the Eugene farmers market and their nuts are always the best. I think they genuinely enjoy growing hazelnuts whereas many other growers are just growing them to make money.

I missed my last few years, but there are some berry rootlings I would like to pick up.
I used to go up, every year, around August, to the Port Townsend, Port Angeles, and Seattle areas, for several weeks, and have been looking at land for small scale agriculture -- a hobby farm for my own enjoyment.
I have visited many, larger orchards, in southern California, have been grateful to learn how they are operated, but know there is a different atmosphere.
