it`s my third year to find a source for Georgia Jet and other northern suitable sweet potatoes, and I am still looking for... does anybody know a company or person willing to send sweet potatoes especially Georgia Jet to Germany? I guess a bulb (is it a bulb?) would be best, but i am willing to take the risk with slips... I tried Maple Farm (as the specialist ) but they won`t ship.... any suggest? Thanks a lot!
I am also looking for short season peanut varieties. Owen from annapolisseeds will send me some, but are there other cultivars? read about OC Garroy and two other...but couldn`t find any source

I've got Georgia jets, and I'm in Europe so no problems with customs. Cuttings will be easier and should travel ok. I can take some now, or wait until spring. If you put them in a very warm place, they'll root and grow (sweet potatoes are tropical plants).
Send me a personal message.

imgimmer: Oh to have more short season peanut cultivars... If someone could just name off a few that I could hunt for (and share) that'd be great too!

If someone could just name off a few that I could hunt for (and share) that'd be great too! www.ars-grin.gov/~dbmuqs/cgi-bin/ex_mcpd.pl?q=FROM%20test.acc%20a,%20test.tax%20t,%20test.acc_topname%20tp%20%20WHERE%20a.taxno%20=%20t.taxno%20%20%20%20%20AND%20tp.acid%20=%20a.acid%20%20AND%20t.taxon%20LIKE%20'Arachis%20hypogaea%'%20%20%20AND%20upper(a.site)%20NOT%20IN%20('INACTIVE','NSSB')%20%20AND%20rownum%20%3C=%2015000%20 This'll give you a spreadsheet of everything that ARS-GRIN has. Doing a word search for early gives you varieties that mature 75-85 days after planting which is well within your 120 ff days.

I guess I *could* but I have never established a relationship with them before.

I have ordered from them in the past but had to give them a good reason. Luckily I had one.
