Thought you folks growing for market might be interested in this local farm. While I don't buy their CSA offering, because they're a little far away to justify the gasoline outlay, we do go to their farmstand whenever we are in the area, or can convince someone to share the ride... They have an unusual agreement with the man who actually owns the land; one that might work for other small farmers as well.
That was very interesting reading. It's a good idea, but I wonder how many folks there really are willing to lease the land that way and how many there are willing to work that way. The whole idea of ownership really seems to push folks connected to the land, but in lieu of the cost of a startup it's a truly great Idea and I wish them all the luck in the world!
