You can not imagine how hard I try to be organized. How hard I try to actually do all the things I want to do. I think I see the tip of my tail more than any other landscape because I am CONSTANTLY chasing the silly thing round and round, day after day.
I can not find: 1. Seed I'm supposed to send to a friend. 2. TPS seed I need to get in ground NOW.
I DID however, find a whole bunch of envelops filled with seeds that I was going to send out THREE YEARS AGO!?!?!?! Really? Seriously? ::sighs::

Hey jo, let me cheer you up a bit, oh great kindred spirit! I finally got those Kudzu seeds planted that you sent me two plus years ago, and they're about 2 inches high!!! Pics at eleven!

It's got to be a gardener/farmer thing, right?! ;D

Jo, you are definitely not alone! This morning I picked up the shopping list, picked up my shopping bags, went to put the list in my pocket as I walked out the front door and guess what? I had lost the list. It appears I can lose things while they are still in my hand.

I can get through quite a complicated series of things so long as there are no distractions/interruptions whatsoever. It's been years since there haven't been distractions/interruptions aplenty and my threshold of distraction gets lower every year.

I am SO glad to know I am not alone... I probably should not have succumbed to that sense of "lostness". Really, it's been an amazing year over all. We are getting ready to celebrate our 7th year in this house and the difference in the property is just amazing. When we first got here we had to buy fishing worms because the soil was so dead, there were no worms. Very few birds were around... just sort of barren all the way around. Today, you can get pounds of worms in minutes, birds, bees, and butterflies are everywhere. Bunnies, lizards too! I'm just glad to know I'm not alone... Thanks people!

This morning, while sorting through melon and squash seeds and deciding which to plant, I came across seeds for Steev and Cortona that I could have sworn I sent out over a month ago. (Sorry, guys!) I also managed to completely lose my Charentais seeds somewhere between the kitchen table and the garden. You're far from alone, Jo.

I suppose that perhaps, we are so scatterbrained in the house because we are so dedicated to making it work outside? Maybe?

I have been known to drive to town (25 minutes away) to go shopping only to realise my wallet is in my jacket at home. I know the feeling

>.< DOH! Gosh I hate it when that happens! Particularly when you've planned out all the stops, everyone is loaded and there is no way to go back... ::sigh::

Joining this group. There was a time I was much more organized, prior to living at our new acreage. Now, what with trying to get a business started, volunteering stuff etc... it's a whole other ballgame. Sometimes, people will ask me now if I have seed of such and such and I wonder if they see my brain bleed as I imagine going through the spring-planting-descending-into-chaos piles to find them. And given the biz is plant related, I actually have to get much better at this stuff. Sometimes...

I have to admit I was a professional horse breeder and stallion manager . One spring I opted not to geld ( castrate) a smaller youngster when I did the others probably to save money on the vets fee at the time . Two years later a friend asked me about the young stallion I had , amoungst assorted geldings and other mature stallions I handle daily , and I had completely forgotten this animal was left a stud. Now that horse was a 1200 pound stallion feeling his oats and it had to be pointed out to me by a neophyte that I had forgotten he was still a stud , not a small envelope of seeds .

Going to the farm in a car not my own, I didn't need keys to my truck, etc, so I left them in my other pants. Two-and-a-half hours drive later: gee, no keys to the pumphouse (pooper) or the tool shed. Doh! Needles to say, there are now spare keys hidden (not under fake poo). I grow so much less dependable, taken off auto-pilot; at least my ruts have predictable destinations, as do I, if I don't change my ways.

This is what comes of having more than one pair of pants.
