Did anyone grow Long island Northern Okra Blend? Information on their website is old. I am curious about their progress.

Although I have tried many of the LI seed blends, okra was not one of them.
I think you'll wait a long time to get an update on LI Seeds. However, Joseph and I are both working with their squash line. I'm attempting to keep the spinach line going. After this year, I'm sending it to Joseph.
I also have their carrots and had I have know it was the last year I could have gotten anything, I would have bought everything they had. I sure wish I had gotten their cardoon/artichoke blend.
I'm still working with some of their melons, and I sent the amaranth grain off to Hortus.
Ken was a brilliant seed breeder. If you can find anything out there. Grab a hold of it and plant it. It'll start you down the road to plant breeders anonymous....

The only pepo squash that I ever enjoyed? I planted seeds from it last week as the only pepo squash in my large field. I have a few pepo weeds in that field that I'll need to take care of. In other squash lines, I'm also growing descendants of the LISP crookneck, zucchini, and moschata. I keep finding partial packets of LISP seed. One of these days I hope that I get my act together and post a listing so that they can be shared. I can only deal with a few pepos per year.

I can tell you that the blue leek LISP seed has been interesting so far. No okra though.

I have such sucky luck with okra that I can't imagine it growing in Canada. If there is a variety that does, I need some seed! Meanwhile, I'll thicken my gumbo with Molokhia, which does well for me. It neither pickles nor fries like okra, though, and it's nasty noshed in the garden.
