Every year I reevaluate if what I have been doing should be continued or altered. At this point it still is working although I tweaked some of the CSA days this year and dropped the pick up at my job option. I do a Thursday market which is not huge and pack 7 shares on Tuesdays and Fridays (14 total). I offered 3 different sizes. Also charged a little less for Friday because otherwise no one wanted Friday because 'they might go away for the weekend'. When I dropped $25 for Friday suddenly everyone wanted it. Yes it cheaper because some of the produce went to market Thursday but is still ok. I like the early monies for supplies but really need all the share money not just the half down I ask for. There are many advantages of doing both market and CSA and the way I do my CSA by money value of the crops I know I am not cheating them to bring more to market.

Holly! Someday Leo will retire and you'll have a real farmer? Poor guy, sounds like retiring to the salt mines; I do recall that "beast of burden" reference.
Anent your weekly re-training complaint: been there, done that the past 34 years; so looking forward to not needing to rely on other people's work to keep things going. Oh, wait! I've got a farm from which I intend to produce revenue, even though I'm pushing the wrong side of 70. Oh, well, I'm used to panning a lot of gravel, looking for the occasional nugget; sure are a lot of flakes, though not the good kind.
