To kill these stumps i plan to dill hole and full holes with roundup, other than that does anyone have any tips on killing these stumps??

Roundup is a foliar herbicide. With no leaves it will not have the desired effect unless you overload it with way too much roundup.
I believe you can buy acid based stump burning kits that slow burns the wood. This usually involved drilling holes as well.
I would cut them down low enough to mow over them unless you a tractor and can dig or pull them out.

I don't like using Roundup but I do use it to kill unwanted Manitoba maples and sumac. We drill holes as you've done and inject with a syringe. It kills them every time. Being a systemic it goes right down into the roots. We've also used it to kill some black currant that was in a location that we couldn't dig. In that case, we painted it on the bark of the stems all the way round. Within days, the leaves withered and died. It didn't regrow.

It takes more time, but you can always type letters with <alt> and then the ASCII-number. <alt><9><7> (press alt, then 9 and then 7 and then let go of alt key) should give you the small "a" for example. The whole list is here: www.asciitable.com/

Thanks for that Mike, yes ive seen that box elder about. Another bad weed tree i battle against is en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Euonymus_europaeus the people next door have said to me they like " wild look " , in other words i cant be bothered keeping our place tidy, there place is full of the European spindle and so the birds eat the seeds come over here into our trees and shit out all the seeds,i spend hours pulling out seedlings.

I killed a liquidambar and an old grape once by cutting them off at ground level then removing any new growth. The liquidambar came back the next season but not thereafter. The grape came back for two seasons but then died.
Our local landcare group uses Grazon for woody weeds but it looks like the Yates product you found will do the trick.

Dig around the trunk, cutting off any roots...plum won't have a tap root, so that will kill it. Yeah, a little labor intensive, but otherwise innocuous. An axe or pickaxe will handle most, if not all the roots.

They may well have a tap root because i grew them from seed and planted them out when they were really small Too late now any way,ive drilled holes and woody weedkiller has been poured in,i was amazed how fast the tree stump sucked it up.
