Does anyone know how long it takes Yacon to mature seeds? I have two different varieties flowering at the same time for the first time, so I'm hoping to get some seed, but I'm wondering if there is enough time left. We usually get a hard frost in late November.

I wonder if carefully harvesting the plant, removing the large storage tubers, and then replanting the rest of the root ball in a container would keep it going long enough to mature the seed indoors...

Growing where temperate rainforest meets the sea (WA coast): Jan avg low temp ~34*F, Aug avg high temp ~69*F, ~111 annual inches of rain, but only about 15 inches May-Sep, salt air, lots of wind.

Clearly I don't know enough about Yacon reproduction.
