The colour between the corms and pea sized rounds from the seed are different, the seed grown rounds are more white, you should be able to tell from that. Its the depth of frost thats the killer, frosts here dont freeze much deeper than 2-3 cm which is lucky as snow cover is rare and short lived when it does.

Ah! Good to know. I shall examine the survivors in the spring. From memory though, I suspect that they are in fact offsets.
