Such a strange onion just would have to go on and produce even more odd features, like why would a single onion which splitting into three, produce a scape that matured well ahead of the others.

It started off a strange onion and now its reverted back to producing flowers. All 6 onion that i planted out after winter storage have developed incidental stems

Thankfully only one plant decided to grow flowers, so ive pulled it out mainly because ive got tree onions due to flower soon, didn't want any crossing.

I've now got a few to play with. I was wondering when to pick them - they just fell off in my hand! planting time, obviously.

yep , they are very ready, chuck em in the ground T, ive had them come up within a month though your soil temps maybe be warmer, give it go and see what happens

That pot sure is crowded!
So nice to see a warm, green garden! That all looks so great - I can just breathe in and feel like I'm standing there.
My NH plot is frozen solid under a light coating of snow . . .

I put them under about 1cm of soil, she maybe to warm yet?. Talking of that i haven't sown mine yet, one must pull ones finger out and do that today.
