My name is LaDena and I originally came here looking for information on the GSN, Grassroots Seed Network. I'm just now getting back into gardening after the last several years of not having the time or the space. I try to stick with heirloom/open pollinated because I enjoy saving and swapping seeds but I did grow the profusion zinnias this year though for the butterflies. They are reliable.

Welcome LaDena, were always glad to have new forum members. Tell us about yourself and your climate/area, and fields of interest - I am being nosy, lol.

Welcome Ladena! (I'm the one you emailed about GSN). I went to high school in east Texas and still have relations there. I could grow almost anything with the acid soils, pine mulch, and regular rain. Now I'm in droughty, rocky, southwest Texas developing landraces and picking up after a tornado.

Thank you for the welcome, Rowan, Flowerweaver and Philagardener.
Rowan, Flowerweaver summed up our growing conditions quite well, lol. We do have a bit of clay here though which is a challenge.
Flowerweaver, thank you for responding to my GSN question. I don't have much but I'm looking forward to listing some things to swap/share.
