I plan to spend the day there tomorrow. ( Happy Birthday to me!) Volunteered as part of the tear down crew to get my ticket. Should be interesting. 10 concurrent 1 hour seminars all day..... I think I'll start the day at a Carol Deppe talk on corn.

Sounds great - concurrent sessions can make for tough choices! Enjoy and let us know the high points.

Neat, have fun! I wish they would hold one of those fairs in Texas, they are always too far away to easily attend.

It was certainly a jam packed couple of days. I told my wife these kinds of things are simultaneously inspiring --- and almost depressing.
Big crowds and mid- August like temps, I think it hit 90F.
Besides Carol's talk on corn, I attended a couple Livestock Conservancy talks on Heritage Hog production (I have a couple Tamworths) and on poultry processing ( we have a few chickens). Jean-Martin Fortier talked on making a living from 1.5 acres of production area. The last 2 sessions I hit were Shane Gebaur and Kim Flottum on Honeybees ( yeah, into that too)
I had Sound Board duty at A.M. church service today, but in the P.M. I did pork butchery with Zeph Shepard, Raw Milk with Charlotte Smith ( maybe sometime we will actually milk our Shorthorn!) and then wrapped the day with Joel Salatin. In between sessions - a couple hundred vendor booths.
Busy weekend

I envy your location. I visited Albany and Corvalis 3 years ago and thoroughly enjoyed the farmers market in Corvalis and visiting Jim Myers at OSU.
