Can I interest anyone in a trade of a few 75/55° winter days in exchange for a little of your precipitation? We're at zero of our 2.75" monthly average and there's only... five hours left, so... help a sister out?

75/55 is like June weather here. I'd be willing to trade Thursdays forecasted blizzard for a day or two of your temp's.
It's been brutally cold here in Maine this past week, and looks like this week coming is more of the same. Hovering around zero by day, and ten to teens below at night.

Happy 2018! Clear and +6F (-14C) this morning outside of Philadelphia. All the ponds and creeks are frozen solid. Today's high temps might make the mid-teens. This is cold!

-5 F (-20 C) here, not the coldest we've ever had but still, way colder than common and way way colder than I like. Highs in just the teens F are forecast.

Amazingly cold temps you guys are getting, temperatures ive never experienced.
Convection storms due for my area today which will be most welcome after three months of little or no rain

It has been below zero F here often the past few days and the weather dweebs on radio and TV, although the basic new spewers are worse , act like this is a precursor to Hell freezing over. It is while not the norm, it IS common enough to NOT BE AN ODDITY. When I here the bloviators start peeing and moaning about the weather I wish there was a way I could tell them face to face to shut up and get the hell out, the sooner the better. What we need now is several feet of snow on the ground to stop the frost from going deeper. What we will probably get is a disgusting Jan. thaw followed by more sub-zero which is not good.

East Coast bracing for "The Bomb", followed by "The Big Chill", and then "The Day After". Triple Header; no small or big red buttons needed, Mother Nature is providing the show. GMO free popcorn, anyone?

We are trying to visit my wife's relatives outside of Charleston, SC and arrived just in time for winter storm grayson. Landed in Charlotte and tried to drive, but the unusual amount of snow closed many roads and important bridges. Had to stop for the night in Summerville (name seems ironic today). Locals tell us it hasn't snowed here since 2010, and they haven't gotten this MUCH snow in 30+ years. Being from CA, my kids were very excited by the snow, until they realized it was cold .

It was pissy light rain most of today, but it's been raining decently, the last few hours; so glad to have it. Prior to this, Oakland had one-third of normal-to-date.

Still just cold here. One night -14F (-25C). Just one night that cold but about a week of nights right around zero F and highs in teens or low twenties. Forecast calling for just two more days of it then up to thirties and forties for daytime highs and lows just in the twenties. Also forecast for some rain and or snow which couldn't hurt, it's been pretty dry for this time of year.

Its been a very dry winter here as well. Only a few total inches of snow so far. We've got a wind chill warning for the next two plus days. They are calling for gusts up to 30 mph and wind chills to -30 deg F tomorrow morning. Think I'll stay in.

Minus 4 here and bracing for a storm later today. Minus 4 is actually balmy, compared to the minus 15 to minus 18 the last few days. (before wind chill) Went and got generator gas this am, just in case the power goes out. Hubby is at work, hope it holds off till he gets home. Calm as a mill pond right now, not a breath of wind. Have extra feed laid in, lots of groceries, will double water the barn shortly, so I can stay in when it starts to blow.

Ain't that a hoot? How nice 0 feels, compared to -14? Heck at +5 ya barely need a jacket to feed and water the chickens.
