reed - the bonsai concept is really neat... have you tried it with any of them/do you have any pictures? I'd be crazy interested to see ~ I didn't try as much as I discovered it. Few seasons ago when I still grew them as transplants I had some extras. They laid around for quite awhile still in the cell packs, even dried up more than once. When I set them in a tray on the picnic table and watered a little they bloomed and set fruit. A couple planted in small, maybe 4" clay pots with a stick to hold them up made lots of fruits. In the ground the vines are as large as any tomato, I was amazed that abused, stunted vines maybe a foot and 1/2 tall still produced abundantly. Sorry, never occurred me to take pictures. I'v thought about growing them like that on purpose to sell but now they are all crossed up and I don't know what is what in the saved seeds. I doubt it would matter though as I imagine any with the current type foliage and habit would grow that way.
