How much time do you have past for create Anthive?
i've had two versions before the most recent setup.
the first was hand coded and not much there but some pictures and a little bit of text. (later 2002-2005)
i didn't do much with it then for a while until around 2011 added more and then sometime around 2014 i found a static website generator called bins which i started testing to see if i could use it for the next version but i didn't like how it turned out so i never fully adapted it.
a few more years later (early 2017) i then started using a program to generate a static website called hugo and the theme academic (which has changed now to something else but i've not gone further with that recently). to create most of the content of the conversion and adding pages it took me a few months, but it wasn't a full time thing so i'd guess that initial conversion and added pages took me about 40hrs. a lot of the time spent during the middle of this was going back and tagging about 10,000 pictures i have in my collection so i could have a chance of finding them quicker. haha, what fun that was as i ended up not liking the first program/method i was using so i switched to something else instead and did most of it all over again.
since then i have gone back through and worked on some pages/projects again and added others as i've found things that interest me that seem like things that others would like to see. i need to go back and redo some projects more now because they are the oldest ones that i did at first and i think they and a few others could use some rewriting. then i can also find more pictures from the many that i've taken over the years that would be fun to post along with some pictures that we took way back when we were first building the place and putting the gardens in that i would have to take pictures of the pictures to get them put up. so that's the last thing on my list of things to do.
now that gardening season is here i don't expect to be doing any major work with the computer or website unless we get a lot of rainy weather days in a row.
you can sometimes find previous versions on the wayback machine:
at the bottom of this page there are posts about how i did things in various pieces:
right now it takes me more time to edit pictures and to get the website uploaded than it takes to write and generate the website (which only take a few seconds). i can proofread and look at it locally on my machine before uploading it to hopefully catch any mistakes before i put it online for others to see, but once in a while i miss a typo or something.

the pile of sod is gone so i can move on to the next section perhaps later today as the weather looks perfect out there. cold now but it will warm up enough. all is good when i can make progress if only a few hours at a time out in the gardens.

My peas, potatoes, carrots and some other things are up and doing pretty good although they need a little rain which I think they might get today. It's still two weeks before our official last frost date but yesterday I planted corn and cow peas. I planted some bush beans a few days ago, they are not up yet.
Where are you located flowerbug? I'm in SE Indiana.

i'm in mid-Michigan so a bit further north than you. for me the earliest i will try to plant beans will be the middle of May and those will be at risk from too much cold if we get one of those things that makes the other side of the average.
we've had three storms go by us, two to the north and one to the south. perhaps we'll get a bit of rain tomorrow. if not will have to break out the watering can or hose again.

we've had frosts this past week so still a bit too cold for bean planting. the first peas i planted are up and growing but only a few inches tall. working on sod clearing still, but glad to finally have gotten back to work outside again.
plenty of weeding is always needed here and for even more fun i have been clearing some Ground Ivy (a mint) that i didn't even know it was a mint until recently. i thought it was a speedwell instead. at first i didn't even pay any attention to it and then i started finding it trying to get out into the surrounding gardens and pathways and that was a hint that perhaps i should get after it before it really spread further. now i'm glad i'm making the effort now instead of letting it go further.

this morning i looked again at the forecast for this upcoming week and decided to get another row of peas planted and also to put in the earliest beans that i want to risk. forecast is coming in later next week at days above 28C 83F vs. last weeks lows of -4C 25F. the peas survived those temperatures so i'm glad they've not been damaged. i hope this is it for frosts. some good soaking rains would be nice.

we picked up some rains last night, i'm not sure how much but something is better than nothing. i planted another row of peas and then a first row of early beans. hope the beans will make it. the peas are much more likely to survive as long as the groundhogs will leave them alone. the fence doesn't always keep them out (but it helps).
have you had pretty extreme rain events there at times? like for us sometimes we can get storms that will drop 70mm of rain in a few hours or less. i have also had many flash flood events and other more longer term storms that have dropped 150mm of rain in a few days.

of the first beans (Fort Portal Jade) i planted with the 2nd planting of peas i managed to get two of the seeds to germinate. i'm not sure if the plants will survive or not but at least they did sprout. we had a frost warning that i put buckets over the two bean sprouts i was most worried about. the rest of the beans i planted had close to 100% germination and they look great, about 130 Purple Dove.
the greenhouse starts are now all planted and so are the squash, onions and red peppers. i have only some melon seeds to get planted and some late scallions and then in all the remaining gardens i'll fill in with beans of as many varieties as i can decide to plant. it will take me a week or two for me to finish planting depending upon the weather and how much heat i want to endure.
when it gets really hot and i want to play in the water i have some crushed limestone rocks that need to be screened from some dirt so perhaps i can do that and hose myself down once in a while.

been way too busy getting things planted and keeping them watered, weeded, etc. now the strawberries are coming in and i'm still having to plant two last gardens and i should be able to get them done in the next few days. it's been a challenge this past week and a half due to back injury too, but i've been able to get things done and keep going.
i have a family of groundhogs to contend with, rabbits, and chipmunks. some areas are fenced but not all good enough to keep everything out. so i hunt here or there to keep the populations down if i can. right now i'm letting the chipmunks eat some of the strawberries because otherwise they might decide to eat all my edamame soybean sprouts and other beans. i'm ok with sharing with them especially now that i've picked enough to put some pints up in the freezer of sliced berries and strawberry sauce that my cousin likes so much. once i have those done i'm happy enough to share with the critters.
the peas i planted early did ok and the 2nd row are also doing fine. the beans i planted at that time also are doing great. the cold snap we had was just a hair above freezing so nothing was damaged and the plants are looking ok. the Fort Portal Jade beans hate the heat and dry weather so they're struggling to grow but we'll see how they do.
