I have try to sow some f2 of canestrino di lucca x andine cornue in jully. I think that 1/4 plants will have potato leafs. The others plants will have wispy or between wispy and potato leafs. I think it that a andine cornue with potato leaf is a good idea! Others cross: (Canestrino di lucca x andine cornue) x green zebra Costoluto x ( canestrino di lucca x andine cornue) Costoluto x téton de venus ( i dont know if she will take) (Canestrino di lucca x andine cornue) x roman candle ( not sure)

Do you think that a horn tomato with potato leaf has less probability to have the ber than a horn tomato with wispy leaf? I have learn that san marzano lungo is a tomato with ovate gene and andine cornue with the gene sun.
Ovate don't have of modifications on the leafs. The foliage is regular. The fruits are long without horn.
Sun is responsible of the wispy leaf and the horns fruits.
I think that the main problem with the tomato andine cornue is a sensibility at high fertilisation in nitrogen and potasium who too reduce the calcium assimilation. She is able to give fruits without ber if they have under 14h of lights by days. I think even that the heatwaves can promote the ber.

yes, heat sensitivity is going to contribute to BER, even watering and deep root planting might help.
