I am posting this here because its about corn. lol When I buy cracked corn for the animals, the store gives you whatever brand they have in stock. This week, they gave me Purina Brand. It says that it contains corn and soybean oil. What is the purpose of the oil? I've never seen it on any other brand.
I was happy to hear that the store is working with a local farmer to try and supply then with more corn. All the bags he sent this yr sold out fast.

Don't know for sure, but maybe to keep the dust down? Don't worry..soybean is egg-spensive and very high protein. They should thrive on it.

OK It's only for the hens anyway. I guess I see it as an unnecessary ingredient. But the extrs protein could help in the cold months.
