His concession speach was gracious and of a rare eloquence. So was Obama's victory speach.

Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeee! indeed.
I stayed up all night to watch this amazing event. Obama's victory speech came at 5am our time, but was well worth staying up for. I was in tears.

His concession speach was gracious and of a rare eloquence. So was Obama's victory speach. I agree completely, Michel. McCain's crowd could have been a bit more gracious, but that's not his fault. I haven't seen that McCain in a long time, though. It's nice to have him back. It's also nice to see so many people from other countries excited about last night. Thank you all for caring about us.

I stayed up late and went to sleep a very happy man. And Michigan gets medical marihuana and stem cell research! ;D john Yeah.. i didn't need to stay up to watch who won. But i was sure happy the ballot proposals won. Strange how they wouldn't and won't talk about it on the news for the Medical cannabis. Even when they had local politicans debating on the public channels they would get to the part where they were gonna supposedly debate the medical cannabis.. and Oppps.. ran out of time. Then the next morning after the vote when they did have to at least say that it had passed.. surprising how the news described it as a controversial ballot proposal when there was clearly no controversy over it for the majority of voters. It is strange though this time around... i remember 4 years ago when we had a similar proposal and the police groups and every other group in michigan was coming out against it on tv and on the internet. This time nothing... not one single commercial for or against. Least with the stem cell one they had commercials from both sides on tv. I'm glad that one passed too.. i see no logical or ethical, or moral reason why anyone should have been against it. And those commercials against it were really weak just trying to threaten people that our taxes would go to pay for it. Almost sounded like McCain trying to scare people with lies about taxes. Oh well.. all in all a pretty good election. Not that i voted for Obama.. since i'm against the republicrate party system. But i guess if it had to be one of those 2 he'd of been my choice.
