Welcome to all who have recently joined us. It is wonderful to see how many people around the globe who are getting involved with growing a diversity of crops. I'm especially glad to see evilfruitlord, I had checked out the blog when Canada Mike posted about it. Lots of good info there. (I hate vegetables-don't tell anyone here.)

Truth be told, I'm not a huge veggie lover either. I'm much more into fruit, although I really enjoyed the beets I grew this past season. The big secret...is that I only like tomatoes in sauces and not raw off the vine. Yes, I'm from Jersey and I don't like tomatoes, my father is very ashamed, lol. But I do like growing them and gifting them to friends, family and co-workers. Next year I'd like to tackle the task of figuring out how to can/bottle them into sauce, so I'll be looking for some tasty paste varieties. ;D
