I've seen many threads about favorites. How bout most disliked??
My most hated tomato is the crappy one that comes on a burger

Two I grew this past season were absolute spitters. Coyote and Micro Gemma.

Old Virginia. Supposed to be prolific. It wasn't, but that could have been cuz I grew it in a notoriously bad section of the garden. But what it lacked in production was matched by it's lack of taste..Again, could have been the fault of it's environment, so I did give it the benefit of the doubt and saved seed to try again in 2008.

I would say mumble but I know JT is glaring at me and wagging a finger. So, I won't say mumble and choose to say Persimmon instead.

My yellow pear wasn't terrible. I've read there seems to be a ton a variation in that one,

Right now it's a tie between Yellow Brandywine and Lucky Cross ... and Dixie Golden Giant ain't too far behind.

Bluelace: Do give Old Virginia another chance. They were very good taste here, and reasonable production in a year that was far too hot. My own personal un-favourite has to be Fargo/yellow pear. In my garden neither have any taste, although I have a friend who loved the fruit from the same plant I wouldn't touch again. I think it has a lot to do with growing conditions, as well as personal preferences. Cheers Dan

Granny Smith hybrid tomato, bred to use as a green tomato, yet even there it lacks in flavor and in my opinion is totally useless.

I was about to get Stupice. Thanks, mantis. Is Siberian tasty? I need an early one.
My least favorite this year was plum lemon. They were cute and productive, but totally useless to me.

JayTee,
Dude, the whole reason Lucky Cross and Yellow Brandywine top my list of Enemy Tomatoes is solely because they wasted my space! Both of them taste great. But I'll be damned if I'll waste space on a tomato that puts out two or three fruit no matter if they taste like pure ambrosia. Phooey!
