Unfortunately I have only a short seed list of available seeds to trade this year, owing to the fact that I lost over a hundred plants to Late blight, which nearly nearly wiped out my entire crop-save for a few plants in the greenhouse that escaped it.
So I am afraid that I can only offer about thirty two varieties this year rather than my usual 150 or so, and some of these are in very limited quantities
/ Standard type O.S.U.-Blue.
/ Giant beefsteak size O.S.U. Blue, mutation or unknown cross, very limited quantity available 5 to 10 seeds per person depending on demand, fruit are exactly that same colour as standard variety, fruit on my plant averaged 8 to 12 ounces each.-(Sorry) no more left for this year.
-A) Hundreds & Thousands-container hanging basket plants, with up to 500 tomatoes per plant cherry size-sweet little tomatoes-plant three plants to a hanging basket, which will hang down up to four foot long with a curtain of red cherry small tomatoes by the end of the season-probably the world's most prolific tomatoes.
-B) Barlow Jap- a scarce Brandywine type, of good flavour.
/ Cowlick's Brandywine, by comparison this is probably the easiest and best B.W. to grow, prolific with few problems.
/ German Queen, very prolific and easy to grow with fine flavour-large tomatoes averaging over a pound or more.
/ Mr, Underwood's big German Pink, huge tomatoes some over 2lb's very nice flavour. quite prolific.
/ Northern Crown- a rare tomato, that will grow very well and set fruit in a cooler climate, of quite large tomatoes 8 to 10 ounces or more, nice flavour.
/ Daniel's -Potato leaf version, virtually the same flavour as the R.L. version.
/ Phenominal- as the name suggests, very prolific, with plenty of red salad size tomatoes of good flavour.
/ Big Sungold,- a mutation and re-selection of standard sungold, same great sweet taste, but with tomatoes twice as big or more, very nice and moorish, with trusses of ten to fifteen tomatoes rather than multi branching long strings as on the standard type.
/ Big Zac, with seeds saved from my biggest re-selected tomatoes each time.
/ Rondoc- a rare english bred tomato, handed down through three generations of one family, for container growing indoors or outside, can be grown inside your home in low light conditions all year round, even xmas to March, two foot high and smothered in salad size red tomatoes.
/ Italian Franchi pear, this one really surprised me by it's good flavour, perfect for frying tomatoes, large tomatoes and easy to grow.
/ Gary O' Sena, a well known tomato of very good flavour, large and prolific.
/ Tarasenko -6, a large beefsteak tomato of good flavour-
/Libanaise Des Montagnes,- a very large tomato , many over 2lb's, quite late in ripening sept/oct.
/ Lukullus- a German tomato which is very prolific with red salad size tomatoes.
/ Smiley Worms- A Russian variety that very closely resembles the penis pepper. very prolific and heavy bearing.
/ Italian Grand Prix, a discovery of mine that is almost identical to number (18) except that it is much fatter in the width-with the nice little cleft at the bottom end,
/ Tidewell German, a wonderful tomato, large and flavourful .
/Myriade- very prolific large plum shaped tomatoes, compact plants four or five foot high, won the award of merit from the Royal Horticultural society in the UK.
/ Yubeleyny Tarasenko- carries large trusses of twenty to thirty tomatoes of salad size.
/ Amorosa- the sweetest most pleasant tasting tomato of salad size.
/ Tomachio- a scarce cherry type.
/ Huan "U"-Topaz, a chinese cherry type, with large cherries that are mottled and striped green, later when ripe they change to a yellowish striped tomato, very pretty.
/ Sabre, a very nice large tomato.
/ Pink Sunshine, similar to number (23) but bright pink skin. very pretty.
/ Black Mystery- a large tomato with black stripes and blotches on them,
/ He-Man, rootstock seeds for grafting, resistant to just about anything, including late blight, makes your tomatoes grow like crazy and bear up to 30% percent more fruit on them.
/ Saint Jean De' Angeley- a very rare paste type tomato from France or near there, bears long tomatoes with points at the end, but like a lot of these long paste types-are very prone to BER, so precautions have to be taken against this happening.
/Perzevidnij- a russian plum type tomato very prolific 10 kg per plant possible.
/ Yellow Brandywine-Abundant life strain, limited amount of seed available- variety is smoother and creamier than other yellows.
/ Neves Azorean Red, a well know variety.
/ Neves Azorean Pink version, same as above, but with pinkish skin.
/ Red Target- Taiwanese variety, only small amount of seed available this season- very limited, sweet and prolific.
Unfortunately that is all I can offer this season, and some of those are in very limited amounts- my worst season ever, when it shouild have been my best
I do of course have hundreds of varieties from the previous five seasons available, please ask as I might well have it in stock ??
