Hi, I'm hoping to track down a list of all known pea varieties that carry the Umbellatum-type trait which is also known as terminal flowers, and fascination where the flowers are grouped together in an umbel fashion.
I'm really hoping to track down a variety known as "Top Pod". But, i'm interested in other ones as well.
The varieties i have put together so far are:
Mummy-white (I just received some seed from a seedbank) Salmon-coloured
suspected types: Top Pod (Very interesting in finding this variety) Musus nigro-umbilicatum Umbelate purple fl. Acacia Umbellata
Okay, so i think that's it. If anyone knows of any other really unusual pea traits/varieties, let me know.
Thanks, -Andrew

If You have any spare seed any time, I'd be interested. I only have salmon flowered, unfortunately, but I've been trying to track down others myself.

Hi Robert,
Sure, i can certainly try and do that. Although at this point i only have seeds for Mummy-white, and i have no seeds for any of the others. I just planted half of what the sent me from Nordgen. From what i've heard , this is an umbel type, but i will have to wait and see. I think i have about 8 seeds left if you think that's enough. Otherwise if your willing to wait until i can grow some out, that might be better. I'm interested in Salmon-coloured sometime in the future as well.
I just found "Top Pod" is available from the ARS GRIN genebank, but I've already ordered some seeds from them this year, so i really don't want to request anymore from them. They also have a yellow podded one that i think may be different than golden sweet which I'd like some seed (W6 15163). "Top Pod" is also widely reported as being very heat and disease tolerant, but the seeds themselves ironically don't seem to be widely available.

I can send Salmon-Flowered any time, but it's getting a bit late in the year to plant more peas here, so there's no hurry about Mummy-White.

I'm adding another pea variety to my Wish List. If possible, i'm also looking for 'Bijou' Giant Sugar Pea. It's available from www.realseeds.co.uk/peas.html, but unfortunately they don't ship to the U.S. Maybe someone in the U.K. would be willing to send me some seed. No rush though.

I should have a few Bijou if you ask in the autumn. Alternatively, we could possibly make a suitable arrangement for me to buy it and send it on to you. Drop me a PM if you're interested.
