Dan, you know of course that Israel does not accept seeds from the US?
They are automatically destroyed.
My post office will not accept seed shipments to Israel. They just tell me, "sorry, you can't send that. It's against Israeli regulations." From this end, any international package, regardless of size requires a form that spells out the contents of the package. So unless you have friends in another country that can accept packages for you. This is really hard to do.
Of course, you can send most seeds to us (not corn of course and there's a few others).

Really? I sent a crap-ton of seed to homegrower in December and he said he got it. I know I filled out the customs form with everything listed squash seed, corn seed, cowpea seed. I wasn't smuggling it in. Must have gotten lucky.

You can send any seeds and they will tell you nothing, I have got many package from many people. I hand the envelop and stick stamps and put it in the office box, I don't requiered to fill up any form.

Same here Ox, though I doubt I sent nearly as much as you did; just a few melons and watermelons. I told them up front that it was seed though, and watched them fill out the form. Was ready to disguise a second shipment if something went wrong, but the first got through just fine. That was October/early November. Recent change maybe? Or dependent on PO employee?

Every week when I'm at the p.o. they give me one of these guys for the country I'm trying to send things to. I'm glad Homegrower got his seed. He asked me and this is what I got when I got to the post office. I guess some post offices don't look it up. My guy says he doesn't care if I want to take a chance, but some of these seeds are pretty precious. I want to make sure they get to the person growing!

It looks like you should just dump some seeds in some empty cigarette packs or spice cans. Or resort to the pumpkin of botanical sin.

I've got mullein growing here. Send mailing address via PM and I'll send some seeds. You don't have anything that I'd be interested in but I ain't going to worry about the postage.

Oooh! Nice (naughty!) pumpkin of botanical (original) sin. I am so moved to transgress! I'm thinking a black leather pincushion!!! Oh; would that be too "out"?
