I am growing 4 sorts, common un-named green, yellow (mild, don't know the name but even I can eat it and I don't like celery), Giant red and Peppermint stick. I haven't grown the last two before. You can get a heap of varieties from Hazzards seeds.

Yes, I often buy their seeds. Never have any germination problems.

Are you only concerned with large-stem types? Kitazawa Seed Co. has three Chinese celeries which are very good for flavor, not for crunching, so much.

Richard, I think I have some red celery. After the new year when I do the inventory I'll check. I'll send them along if they are there.

Thanks Holly but ive managed to line up a variety which will do me for the next 12 months,then i will look to something else to add to the range,because i'm freezing seed and given that Apium's are so productive in terms of volume i could end up offering a good range of varieties in the end.
