Considering its deep roots, I think this is a great nutrient scavenging plant to bring nutrients from the subsoil to topsoil.

Looks like some kind of Silene ssp., but it doesn't look exactly like the ones that are native over here.

Yes yes,thats it Silene vulgaris subsp. vulgaris.I see that in Spain&Italy its eaten,think i might have to try it as there's heaps of it growing about our property.
