An hour ago, I decided to try RSS. I use it for other websites, and it works fine.
Homegrown Goodness doesn't. It loaded lots of topics into my mail program, but whichever one I tried to open gave me an error message - couldn't find the message I was looking for. They were all today's messages, so should have been easy to access. I barely had time to read the error message before it was covered up by four ads.
Now that I am on the website (the usual way, not via RSS), there are two ads, one of which covers most of the Subject line.

Try subscribing to the RSS feed using a web browser rather than mail package. alanbishop.proboards.com/rss/publicI just tested that and it worked OK for me. The links however, take you to the first page of a thread rather than the latest post, and that can be a pain for long threads. I don't know if that is something that could be reconfigured by a full Admin, but unfortunately we seem to be limited there. I prefer alanbishop.proboards.com/posts/recent as a way to keep up with new posts.

Yes, I can see the list of new posts, but get this error message when I click on one so I can read it:
Oops, there was an error! The thread you are trying to access could not be found.
and it also bounces me out so I have to log in again with my username and password.

Funny - works fine for me. You might try another browser. Not sure what else to suggest - sorry, maybe someone else can add a different suggestion.
