Anybody have an idea which mushroom this is and if it is edible? I think it's some kind of bolete but I'm really not that knowledgeable about fungi. It doesn't have gills. They are popping up after the recent rains. There's another prolific mushroom right now, and I think I have correctly identified it as Pisolithus tinctorius. All I had to do was Google 'mushroom that looks like a turd' and the Dog Turd mushroom came up. It reduces itself to a pile of spores that looks like cinnamon. Apparently it can be used as a root stimulant.

Sarcodon, possibly scabrosus?

Mushrooms being very site-specific. I'm very wary of "identifying"; that said: if they smell floral, you might find them tasty, after you strip off the cap-skin and scrape off the "tube-gills". Personally, I find mushrooms that are that work-intensive beyond my need for fungi.
