My wife is originally from CA...so, yes, I joke about it a lot. I kind of see it as the 'freshman' syndrome...kid goes off to college, cuts loose and well. CA, at times, is just one big party, the only problem is, nobody is sure what it's for. I'd guess the party is an amazing celebration of life!

wow I hope your luck turns when your tattooed lady starts. Your remark about round and square reminded me of a paragraph in a book I recently read, in reply to a comment that a mutual aquaintence marched to a different drum the response was"I'm not sure she hears a drum. If she hears anything at all, it's tambourines. You can't do anything but dance to a tambourine, and the likes of us will never catch the rhythm." I know that's not helpful but I liked the image. I'd love to know what book that was, that's an awesome quote!

My mothers well has iron and sulfer... And my grandmothers is so strong in sulfer that every time you use it, the house smells of well aged eggs.... They have never worried too much with them, aside from sitting pitchers of water in the fridge to shed the sulfer
My son strangely has fond memories of playing at his great grandmothers house in the summer and quenching his thirst the sulfer rich water right from the tap.....

I have an abundance of older seed and some that I kept way too much of. I intend on making a bed in the coming weeks and sprinkling them around with no prejudice. I will cull hard looking for quick development. Then save some seed from the last standing crop. I have no intention here other than the longest surviving and thriving plants. First frost is generally the second week of OCT. I'm looking at survivors beyond first frost.

"One for the Blackbird, One for the Crow, One for the Soil and One to Grow" ...... I suppose we should add a few to cover starlings, deer and coons as well...

Ah cool showers have their place. I take them in my fancy tiled unit... But occasionally a hot shower is worth it. Cold showers are invigorating and less likely to overuse the water source.

Thanks Joseph,
What causes partially white leaves in a plant? I have a stevia plant as well as a black seeded Simpson lettuce that have a mix of the normal green as well as pure white in the leaves. They are attractive, yet I assume they have less ability forphotosynthesis

I always have used grass clippings for mulch, compost, and to till in. I've never had issue with the mold. If you put too much down I could see issues with heat/rot. But clippings have always been a blessing in my garden.

Steev, perhaps if you weren't taking cold showers outdoors, you would be able too keep helpers from running off..
