I found this site useful for a new gardener. It has the basics and also pictures of common pests and weeds for ID-ing purposes. For instance, I now know that it was right to smush the wire worms I dug up when planting my strawberries.
Although I suppose it's not convenient in your neighbourhood to have those kind of pets... Alright, smushing it is then. BTW, thanks for link.
