We both got reds which IS lame but cool at the same time... Mine kinda looked like "Pineapple" ... Anywho, I'm growing Black Cherry for my first time this season - seems like a cool plant so far. ~ Tom It is Tom, S will like it. I dont find it all it's hyped to be but it does stand out among cherries and looks good when mixed with others. I have the hybrid with TYW TWB (?) growing out and will update you later.

If you wait until Black Cherry is a bit over-ripe, pick a bunch of them, lay them out in the sun on a sheet of canvas and salt them heavy, dry them to the consistency of raisins, then soak them in cod liver oil for a week, they'll swell back up and taste exactly like caviar!

No big guns yet - going to be a late season because of a wacky spring and me deciding to lay mulch when it was 40 degrees - but the plants are loaded ...
Cherries are a few days away from breaker stage - I have a funny feeling everything will come ripe while we're in the islands (later end of July), lol ... Little brothers gonna have a tomato feast ...

JayTee ... the Sungold you sent me were the first cherries to ripen. I ate a handful yesterday. Delicious!!!
Still waiting for the Black Cherries to show color ... a much bigger and more robust plant at this point.
Florida Wild Everglades are showing color this morning and should be the second cherries to ripen me a handful.
All four Yellow Submarine plants are completed loaded up with small green pears ... but no color yet. There's another great plant for you!

Came home from Austin this afternoon and found the "Florida Wild Everglades" completely covered in little red tomatoes. They look a bit larger than currant tomatoes but smaller than cherries ... just a bit smaller than Sungold. They're not outstanding with regard to flavor at this time (grown in a pot) but they sure are productive on a non-rampant vine.
Black Cherry still not ripe, but completely loaded up. Sungold still ripening and now becoming typically rampant. Yellow Sub still growing and loading up, but no color yet. Well ... the lower leaves are yellowing, but not the tomatoes!
I got a couple of other cherries, but they don't have given names yet.
