Hey guys, I hope everybody is doing great, sorry I haven't been in much lately, just busy trying to keep up with the season and all of our new projects. In the next day or two I'll post some pics of the most recent redneck enginered projects we have been working on.
My dad and I have been toying around with rainwater catchment for a while but have just gotten around to implementing it, when all is said and done on the house we will have a 2,000 gallon capacity, later the barn will be equiped for 3,000 gallons. Pretty cool if I do say so myself!
We've also been busy building a chicken coop for our next project. I'm really looking forward to it and had luckilly planed ahead for it earlier this year, planting corn, quinoa, and amaranthus to share with our new chickens later this year.
I've also been laying out some new garden designs for next year, moving everything closer to the house and allowing for some of the farm to become a tree nursery and wild crafting area.
Of course this along with the Farmers Market, CSA, and trips to the co-op along with the fourth of July and late planting have been keeping me busy, and need we not forget all the cultivation we have had to do with all of this extra rain!
