Wow- the odyssey was great, but I'm glad to be here in Placerville. We have tons of stuff to unpack, and Andre's sister arrives in 2 days, so I have had little time to see the area. Things I learned on my trip:
1. The ocean off Myrtle Beach tastes almost exactly like pretzels.
2. Kentucky has signs along the highway for distilleries.
3. St. Charles IL puts on a wicked fireworks show
3. Blue Earth, MN is not as cool a town as it sounds, but you can camp for free at the fairgrounds
4. Some awesome bands play for free at Mt. Rushmore
5. The entire population of Caspar, WY is retarded
6. The Great Salt Lake STINKS
7. I can put 1300 miles under the tires in one go and live to tell the tale!
Sadly, I wasn't able to meet my online friends like I wanted to. Between gas prices and flooding, AR and MS went right off my radar. Sorry guys! It made me sad, but it couldn't be helped. Hopefully, you all can come out here and stay with us sometime. I hear Landarc might be able to find us, too. We can sit out back and survey the awesome view!

Lav, glad you and the kids made it there alright. Sounds like quite an interesting roadtrip. Can't wait to see pics of your new place. Have fun unpacking.

We the snow people were all happy for you that you moved to the sun, now with that idyllic description, do we have the permission to be a little envious? I hope you enjoy your new place immensely, I suspect it is a strong possibility. Did you take pictures along the trip? That would be cool to look at!! On an another note, your musquées de Provence are monsters of health. They are ready to take over the garden. I had the bad idea to plant some in a corn thats ends up being super dwarf for an unknown reason Any 1-2 feet corn stands no chance against these beasts!! Have fun!!
