I taught a couple of them might be timely, I sure know I would like to see the gardens of my friends in the south... Melon testing row, view from the barn, The same row, from the other end (watermelons), the sun was setting The potato patch, all cultivars provided by the Canadian potato ressource center for trials. They mostly are heirloom cultivars... Taken 10 days ago, now, it is getting hard to walk between most rows. Part of my Tom Wagner's corner. The plants are smaller, because they where planted much later, but very healthy, and I hill as soon as I can, I want lots of seed potatoes. My precious melon and watermelon patch, these cultivars I will work with more, and the small greenhouse made from leftover scraps of wood will be covered once neededé Taken 10 days ago, the covered melons, the space for my turnip rooted chervil, not planted yet, I'll grow lettuce this week in it before the fall planting of TRC, the beans, carrotsand more beans, one of the 4 rows of tomatoes and Tom's potatoes, a part of them at the right. It all weeded now... for a while only I guess... A sliced sample of my Fragaria Capsicumensis:

Nice dark, rich soil, so to see, with lots of edible promises. Is that a sweet or a hot strawberry?

Not hyper sweet, but good. I love its weird shape. Does anybody else know about it? Nice when filled with whipped cream. I'll have to look it up. I got the seeds from europe. It is said to be a cross between the usual drupe and a mutant with a real fruit form. some thing in between a single fruit and masses of small ones( drupe).

Very nice pictures Mike, everything is looking nice, I wish I could say the same here this year, but there is always this fall and next spring, which I look forward to with lust and vigor. Remember to save seeds from the white watermelons I sent, you'll be the source for that mix in the future since I believe that I lost all but white wonder and cream of saskathewan. I hope they end up as delicious as they look! That strawberry is amazing!
