Anyone else here be glad when the frost ends the season? I am already there. The weeds, the bugs, the heat and humidity. The guilt of not getting anything done that I had hoped to. Frost just makes it all go away....

I can see you do not have 300 tomato plants just getting ready to get in full gear And all these melons and watermelons, and potatoes and carrots and peas and beans and...and... But that's ok, we all get there eventually, usually around canning time, when all the help does not come but all the mason jars find their way elsewhere...

LOL, I can go both ways on this issue at the moment.
Nothing seems to have gone right this year and I'm anxious to try my new approach for next year already, to top that off I think I'm ready to end this CSA thing now and go back to being plain old market farmer Alan in all honesty, less bs in all honesty, and I say that with no regrets (though there are some people in the CSA I will cary over into the future on a special basis).
This year has been a definite bust to me so far, but I have high hopes for next season and I finally bought my very own shit green manure spreader so I can move manure at leisure.
I am anxious though to get a bumper crop this fall so I can go to market though, and my melons are looking great, it's also been a teriffic year for seed selection and criteria.
I would be lying though if I said I wasn't looking forward to moving on to the greenhouse stuff though, I've got a new plan for this year.
All in all this season has been crap for me, but that's part of it, and I have definetly learned from my mistakes this year.
