Alan sent me some seeds for winter squash. I was going to plant them in some raised beds I worked on today. But how far apart should I plant them, I figure they'll vine out of the beds. Should I not worry much about spacing, and just prune and train the vines? I'll try to get some pictures of the raised beds up soon.

It really depends on the squash. 6 feet would be a good starting point I think, but isn't it too late? Potatoes are ok, but squashes I doubt it, even in your neck of the woods...
