I took some pictures, now I just have to post them (I'll figure it out later). But they are definately an orangey/yellow, nice size, let you know about the taste later too. A couple are ripe, for sure, so we'll taste them at supper time. I'm sure I didn't mix up the markers, so it's what I got from Mike. They look nice anyway, even if it's not the right one, and the production beats a lot of the others!

Sammy: Just reread this thread, and went and looked at your pics. From your photo, and the description of the taste that is most likely G32331, a PCGRIN release that I believe we sent Michel. LongShelfLife should be red and almost perfectly round. Sorry it took me so long to catch this.

I am just learning about the accession thing. I did not get one identified like that. But since we discussed storage life and you sent me some long shelf types, maybe it was written as a descriptor and ended up taken for the real macoy , the one with the same wording as a name. After all, long shelf life IS a descriptor, not the most original name around ;D One thing is sure, when I sent them to Sammy, I was taking them from one enveloppe to put them in another one an write the same thing. But hey! Don't argue. Let's say I mixed them up or read poorly. I have done much worse in my life ;D But , speaking of great names, I have an idea: next year I'll create an hybrid and call it ''RED TOMATO'', then watch people argue over it: '' Hey! You told me you would send me a great RED TOMATO, and all I got was some CELEBRITY''- But CELEBRITY is a red tomato- I don't care, I want some RED TOMATOES. And on and on... And my next one will be called '' HYBRID TOMATO WITH FEW SEEDS'' Oh! The beautiful arguments coming...

Michel: It's entirely possible we screwed up when we sent them to you. In fact, from the picture and description of the taste, I'd have to say most probably, because the taste description is what I would use to describe G32331. I like the taste, the fact that none of them split, and they were very good producers in a less than stellar growing year. What ever the cause, Sammy got a good tomato out of it anyway. And you can consider her hugged. ;D Cheers Dan
