Last week was the original date, but we had a little wind here and it was postponed. I just about forgot it was tonight until just now. He will be talking about his seed projects and the importance of regional seed saving. I better get my critters fed so I can go.

I just harvested all the squash from his Mini Pumpkin and edible Ornamental Acorn Mix or whatever it was I planted, LOL
For not 'planting' cuz I'm moving, I sure had a good haul and a good variety as well.
Wish we could all be there to show support for his work.

Nice talk tonight, there weren't many people there, maybe 7 or 8, but Alan did a good job of explaining what he is trying to accomplish with the seed projects. There was a woman who has friends operating an orphanage/school in Zimbabwe, and they have gardening projects going on there too, and would like to receive seeds. Alan has her contact info, and I am sure that the great folks here can help out with that. She also wants to start a community garden in Louisville with some kids she is working with there. Sounds like a nice project to get involved with and I am looking forward to it. Sorry, I didn't take a camera. Maybe that would be a good idea to post to youtube..........................

Definetly a smalish crowd, but it was fun, more like a front porch conversation than a demonstration really, but I really enjoyed it.
This is the fourth demo I have done and plan on doing many more in the future, we will definetly try to record the next one.
Special thanks go to Kim and Karen for both helping me to clarify points when I am speaking, I always take for granted that the audience might follow me and be as deep into this as I am and sometimes that hurts what I am trying to do.
The web-site always gets plugged and a lot of the folks here have been plugged in the past two. I consider everyone here part of the Hip-Gnosis seed development project and everyone family so I do my best to get all of our information out there.

Alan, I didn't know that lady, I thought she must have given you her info. I bet she will be in touch though. I didn't know anyone there, I thought Darren and Espri would surely be there-not. I know that I should know the old fellar with the big ears who wouldn't give his name. I could swear he is an old logger. I'll have to ask my father in law, bet he knows. I noticed that he has been at other meetings there. Anyway, you weren't faltering at all. I think you did a great job. The passion for what you are doing shows through when you speak. Maybe some folks would be interested in a sort of 'beginners guide to seed-sowing-breeding-saving demonstration. Maybe a series at your farm. Easy for me to say, huh? You could do demonstrations in spring, summer and fall. I bet there would be a few people who would come to something like that. Sorry for rambling....
