Holy cow, I hadn't checked on this in a couple of weeks or so due to being so busy and when Kim and I walked out to our small cotton plot the other evening boy were we suprised by what greeted us. Little and big and medium sized poofs of green, brown, bronze, clay red, and nearly lime green bolls and only about a third of the pods on the plants have opened so there will be many more. We do have pics and will take more and seed will most definetly be offered through the Hip-Gnosis Seed Development project this fall!

HEY! I'm VERY interested in growing a small amount of cotton. I was put off the notion; however, when someone in the COopEX told me that it is against the law to grow cotton without permits due to boll weevil infestation. Since I have way to much to do to spend time chasing down something that currently has no priority, I just walked on the idea. Any thoughts on the matter?

Give it a go. It's a very interesting and beautiful plant, I would send you some seed if I had any left for this year but I am unfortunately all out right now, however this fall I will have some more of my mixes available to folks here. This year my hybrids should be segregating and giving some new shades and colors and I added a few new OP's to the mix as well.

Fabulous! Thank you so much. I've pick a bit of cotton, but never grown it and I want my sons to experience it and I want to spin and knit it up as well. Self sufficiency and all that nonsense ;o)

P.S. I'm happy to wait. All my plots are dedicated at this point not to mention we are putting in a small orchard. The trees being delivered around the first of May or so.
