I recently came back into contact with an old friend of mine who is finding some interest in the new "back to the land" movement. I went to high school with him and have been a fan of his music for years, very low fi, recordist, folky, somewhat bluegrass type music, I think there are folks here on the site who would really enjoy his music so I thought I would pass along a link to his web-site. Be sure to check out the downloads section and if you like the music you should definetly consider buying some of his music from him. Many of his albums are short run produced and a lot of the packaging is unique, beautiful, and lovingly handmade! www.elephantmicah.comCheck it out guys! -Alan

Glad to hear you enjoyed it friend! Joe has been creating great music since he was in highschool and sang/played in a duo called cloverleaf and released a couple cd's recorded on an old fashioned Tascam 4-track recorder. If you enjoyed what is on the site you should by his two latest recordings, they are beautiful in a way that I can't even begin to describe, the best he has done yet. If you ever have a chance to see him in concert then do. If you search for Elephant Micah on youtube there are some videos. One I really enjoy is actually a cover of Madona's "like a prayer" played on banjo and is on youtube.
