....runing over the summer and early fall when we were increadibly busy. We really appreciate the help and appreciate the self-moderating of the responsible users of the Homegrown Goodness messageboard, without all of you this would not be possible. I will now be checking in on a more regular basis and look forward to a winter of sharing seeds, experiences, and friendships with everyone here.
Thanks to the efforts of the people on this site and in particular as well canadamike we have lots of plant breeders seeking out our sight and in coming years I think this site will be the host of diversity otherwise not available to the farmers and gardeners of the world, and at a time when it is most needed. As we continue to watch our economies plummet and our governments failures we should keep everyone in mind and work together even more as a unified community of independent and self-sufficient gardeners, the world, our families, and our communities need us now more than ever.
It is through our efforts that we will be able to distribute and release information, seeds, clones, and other unique and adaptave varieties of farm saved seed (and possibly other assetts) out into our brave new world, the likes of which has never been seen before. Providing in essence a resistance to corporate agriculture and global government oversight and abuse. I thank all of you free thinkers out there for contributing your time and effort to this site in order to make it something different and exciting!
Thank all of you for your friendship, loyalty, love, and seeds, with your help and if we all work together to keep the free flow of information and seeds flowing we can and will accomplish some amazing feats. Please, when you have a spare minuite or two to contribute this winter to this site, I encourage you to do so, in such ways we can and will expand our information and attract more and new people and organizations to our work. And who knows perhaps it will be your seeds and or information in a post that will attract the next young gardner or farmer to our message board.
Having had some amount of contact with other areas of culture (music for the most part) in my past, you might be suprised at some of the names that check this site and are influenced by our work on an everyday basis, some of these folks can really play a big hand in helping us to attract a new generation of farmers and gardeners.
