Has anyone delt with these. I did last year. It is the hottest pepper I have ever had. The plants are beautiful. But ,I was getting the seeds out of the dried peppers, to save last summer. I had to be careful. I washed my hand several times with everything I could think of. It took two full days before I could touch my fingers on my face. And not go running to the bathroom to wash it. I also got blisters under my finger nails of four fingers. From it. No wonder the little plants had no bugs or eat on places on the leaves!!! I did use it as a bug spray. It did good, But I had to wash it off the squash and cucumbers with surgical gloves. It did come off the veggies. And when I traded seeds with people this winter. Just the seeds in the palm of my hand as I was putting them in the envelopes. Made a burning spot. And of course. I did rub my eye. It only took twice, Yes, I know I take to long to learn some things. My wife saw the eyes and asked why I had been crying. As usual, I told her. It was because I loved her so much.

Are these the tabletop variety that I saw last year in the grocery store being sold as Ornamentals?? They were marked down to $4.00 a pot. I didn't buy one. And I've kicked myself ever since for not getting one...I've seen them discussed on other boards. Next time I visit that grocery store (it's not my usual one), I will make a point of tracking one down..

My plants are the prettiest almost black color, or very dark pruple. The peppers when ripe are about the size of a quarter and red. Until then they are black. I did try one. I got one of the first ones off the plant last summer. I just popped it in my mouth. I don't think there ever was a faster run to the water hose. I love hot. halapeno, cayenne, ect. Most aren't that bad, if they have a flavor to them. But these little dudes. Are just painful. My mouth felt like when you take a big gulp of hot coffee and it burns your mouth. Only this lasted for days, and was all over the inside of my mouth and tongue. Some foods I couldn't taste, when I ate them.
