Was reading about a cosmetic use for this annual flower in an herb book. One thing led to another and a google search turned many uses! Anyone here familiar with it? Sources for seed? www.herbs2000.com/herbs/herbs_fumitory.htm

Blue i thought the world was coming to a END when i read your topic title. Don't scare like that again. I was wondering if you had a volcano or thermal fields near you and they were acting up LOL. Knowing you would be trying to steam rice from heat of the volcano or trying to figger a way to use the steam to open your own laundry. LOL

Oh goodgrief, it's from Aussie Land They think everything is invasive except for sheep, lol.
Actually, I'm just trying to load it now. I was having issues with a popup blocker and it wouldn't let me load the page! Think I've got it figured out now.

From one of my "Folklore" books-
An infusion of Fumitory sprinkled around your house and rubbed onto your shoes once a week will draw money to you quickly.
Fumitory has been burned to exorcise evil spirits for centuries.

Hmmm, rubbing something called Earth Smoke on my shoes might cause spontaneous combustion...you know...methane + a match = kaboom!! But that would be a good thing to do before the lottery every Saturday OMG, I need to stop trying to post too early in the morning. I meant to say, rubbing fumitory on my shoes to bring money would be a good thing to do before the lottery on Saturday. duh

This one I've known since I was a kid. It's a common field weed in Belgium, quite a beauty too, and very bitter. Sure, every herb book here lists funny names & uses for this one, since people used to link fumitory to the devil etc.
