Earth Smoke or Fumitory

Was reading about a cosmetic use for this annual flower in an herb book. One thing led to another and a google search turned many uses!

Anyone here familiar with it? Sources for seed?

Don't scare like that again. I was wondering if you had a volcano or thermal fields near you and they were acting up LOL. Knowing you would be trying to steam rice from heat of the volcano or trying to figger a way to use the steam to open your own laundry. LOL

I think Horizon has them, Blue. Be sure you want it before you plant it, because this article www.murrumbidgee.cma.nsw.gov.au/uploads/media/Fumitory_BMP_01.pdf says that each plant cal produce 22,500 seeds, and I've also read that the seeds can remain viable for something like 20 years!

Hmmm, rubbing something called Earth Smoke on my shoes might cause spontaneous combustion...you know...methane + a match = kaboom!!
But that would be a good thing to do before the lottery every Saturday

This one I've known since I was a kid. It's a common field weed in Belgium, quite a beauty too, and very bitter. Sure, every herb book here lists funny names & uses for this one, since people used to link fumitory to the devil etc.
