Just thought I would start a thread about growing bananas since I have had great success. Currently mine is putting out a large new leaf every week, which is pretty good. Bananas like warm weather obviously, and lots of sun and water. Combine that with a well draining soil that is rich in nutrients and it will grow very fast. One of the potent combinations i have had success with is to mix cow manure with azomite. This mix has worked well on all of my plants though. Adding this to my soil has caused my bananas to grow the fastest I have ever seen. I would say though that lots and lots of water has been what has been really getting it going. I have tested it, and stopped watering it as much, and got slower growth as a result. I now water it every other day with great success.
